We are the Deeside Lavender people!
We have been growing and harvesting lavender and all other plants we use, for the past three years, all from our family home on Royal Deeside, to bring you homegrown, handmade, vegan products. So why not pamper yourself with our uplifting selection of soaps, creams and scrubs which are created to calm the mind and soothe the soul.
Thanks to the history of lavender farming in Banchory, and the huge benefits this amazing plant can give us all, this seemed like the ideal time to resurrect a much loved local business.
True to the ethos of Dee Lavender, we make our products from the distilled essences of choice Lavender and other flowers, blended to capture the fresh fragrance of mountain and moorland.
Having sculpted and created a 1.5 acre garden from what was nothing more than a disused paddock and field margin strewn with stones it was clear Julie had the patience, passion and ability required to work in the horticulture business. Initially the garden was cultivated to plants, shrubs, trees and grass before a kitchen garden was created in order to supply another business interest. From there the herbs and vegetables expanded into botanicals.
As the business and products develop we continue to establish new opportunities and connections with discerning customers and suppliers alike our most recent being a collaboration with Royal Deeside Honey and Bees meaning a new line of products which will be enhanced using honey direct from the hives on the Royal Family's Birkhall Estate. This reinforces our company ethos of using high quality local products sourced from like-minded suppliers wherever possible.
